Do you need a safe, gentle, and fun ranch riding prospect but don’t have a huge budget to spend?! “RKR Star Playa” checks off all the boxes needed to make an all-around ranch versatility mount all while keeping your pocket-book in mind. This flashy 2018 AQHA registered gelding stands a stout 14.2HH and has proven to be reliable each ride. With Doc O Glo, San Jo Lena, and Colonels Freckles ON his papers, you know this guy is going to work a cow! With his former job title as ranch horse, this little gelding packs a big resume with lots of outside trail miles under his belt. Not spooky down the trail, and will happily go your speed. This is a gelding you can ride for hours as his jog/lope is super smooth! He has worked the sale barns, moving cattle from pen/to pen, and sorting moms from babies. With a sleek low profile, ridden on a loose rein, this little gelding can certainly get in the dirt when needed. “Peanut” shows promising potential in the Ranch Riding show pen, he just needs someone to put some fancy buttons on him. He has a powerful lope off right in your hand, wants to cruise around like a little reiner, and rates off your seat. Peanut is gentle gentle gentle – absolutely no hump up/buck/coldback, rear, bolt, etc. Let him sit – he will ride off honest every time. Low man in the pasture, and has been out with cows. Ridden downtown, had the train blare by without a worry. You can drag a log off him, he crosses water, will cruise over bridges, take you confidently down any trail by himself or with a group. He truly is a sweet little gelding, he wants to be in your pocket once he warms up to you. Go to the weekend ranch riding shows, sort off him, trail ride/camp out on him, or use him on the ranch. Peanut won’t let you down. He is an easy keeper. Loads/unloads, travels great to new places, stands quietly tied, bathes, etc. He has a dental on file from earlier this year. Recent on chiropractic, farrier (front shoes), and deworming. Great manners, no vices, and stalls/pastures well. Has been very sound in our program. Tons of videos on my website, lbequine.net
