Athena of Silver Maple
4 year old registered Friesian Sport Horse mare
She is well trained to ride and has spent hours on trails, including a 3 day camping trip at Salt Fork state park. Athena will willingly go through creeks and over logs and she rides well in the lead or the rear.
Athena will walk, trot, and canter on a circle, and she picks up either lead. She has been started in lower level dressage including leg yields and shoulder ins. She will ride Western, English, bareback or double.
Athena is also well trained to drive, and can be driven in a 4 wheeled buggy or 2 wheeled cart. She stands to hitch and at stop signs.
She is gentle and quiet around children, but she has enough spark to perform for an adult.
Athena has a very sweet temperament and is one of the smartest horses we have ever had. She is easy to catch in the pasture, and gets along well with other horses, including mares, geldings, big horses, and small ponies.
Athena will also lie down on command.
