“Waylon” - Some Kinda Some Em” Registered AQHA gelding, born in 2004. Originally from Weatherford, Texas. Born and bred to be a cutting horse, but sold as a yearling. Same owner from then until we purchased him in 2018. We purchased him for a hunting/pack horse. He has also been used for 4-H, trail rides, riding lessons, pack trips, and ranch work. He is a been there done that type of horse. Catches easily Loads easily Good for the farrier Ties well, to a trailer or high line, post, etc. Has been stalled, run on pasture, and dry feedlot pens, and is respectful of all Does not pull back Easy to saddle, even a pack saddle with crupper. Never been cinchy. Has been hobbled many times. Has been ridden by grandma through grand baby. Does well with all. Very easy to move with legs only, very light in the mouth. Has been ridden with bit, bosal, or even just a halter. Does well with mares, studs, and geldings. He has been pastured with each at some point at our ranch. Since we have owned him. he has been used on our cattle ranch and feedlot or odd jobs, but mainly for packing. He has been used to rope off of, but not competitively. He crosses water easily, goes through gates, and holds cattle well. Easy to vaccinate and deworm, UTD on both. We have never had any health issues with him. We sold most of our ranch in 2021 and he simply no longer gets used. Too good of a horse to simply stand in the pasture. Due to our new property being very remote, I am currently allowing by appointment only to come see/ride him. I will be available from Aug 10-13. If interested, please call to set an appointment time. I will have persons interested in riding him meet at the arena in Emmett, ID. Waylon is a great minded horse and a pleasure to ride. No maintenance needed. He can stand all year, grab a halter, jump on, and go to work.
