Rosco is a 7 or 8 year old palomino Buttes mustang. He was supposed to be 3. Because he is older, he has not been progressing as much as he really needs to be. Because of this, I have decided to not push too hard and just do ground work with him. He should be ready to start under saddle by auction. He will have four months of work on him by our sale date. He is doing well but is still spooky when I’m on the ground, however if I’m on another horse he’ll let me stand on him and play with him. He needs someone who is going to take time with him and love him. He really wants to be friendly but doesn’t know how. He is extremely good in the mountains, I took him camping in the ochocos and he did excellent. He can go forever and is not a quitter. He leads , ties, ponys, and baths. He will continue to be worked until competition. With some time I think he would do very well as an endurance horse. He is not particularly fast but he likes to have a job. I really want him to find his person.
