Oscar hails from Double 'S' Ranch in Gillsville, GA. I purchased him from Janet Franklin in Otis Orchards, WA in January 2024. I am a first-time horse owner and beginning rider. Even though Oscar is an easy keeper, I was naive to the commitment and level of work involved with owning a horse. Therefore, I have decided to sell him. He deserves an intermediate rider that can fine tune his skillset. He has a running walk, a smooth trot and a canter like a big rocking chair. I have ridden him on trails twice and done groundwork with him on a lunge line and with poles to retain his gate. He has not been pacey and the gait is always there. He turned 10 years old in January 2024. He does not have papers but I have been in contact with Double 'S' Ranch and they told me they purchased him from their neighbors who used him to pull a cart. I took him for a full vet check in March of this year and received all his annual shots (EQ EWT/WNV/Flu/Rhino, VGXP). I have given him dewormer in April and just again in August. He is on orchard grass and grain as well as SmartPak Bug-Off pellets. He had his teeth floated in appointment September. He gets trimmed by the farrier every 6 weeks. He had thrush in January due to standing in the mud before I bought him. That is all cleared up and his hooves are in good shape. He has a sweet temperament and likes to be groomed. He responds well to training and will benefit from a confident owner.
