After much thought, prayer, and discussion with my family, I have made the extremely difficult decision to list Turquoise.

This mare has been my partner for 6 happy years and has poured her heart into every single thing she has ever been asked to do. She has been my husband’s main turn back horse for his cutting horse training program, traveled thousands upon thousands of miles all across the country with us helping show horses win money in the cutting pen. She is absolutely as broke and good minded as any horse could come. Not an ounce of spook or silliness in her bones.

She has been competitively roped off of, shown FQHR Ranch Versatility, and even has a little NCHA money won on her. There is not another 16 hand, 1300lb Hancock out there that will work a cow as good as Big T. She is the one that has defied all stereotypes for her build and pedigree.

I would trust this mare wholeheartedly with my children or my grandmother. She is one you can put a first timer on and turn loose and not have to worry. There is no water she won’t cross, or hill she won’t climb. She does what she is asked without fuss, whatever that may be. Pull her out of the pasture and hop on bareback with a halter & lead rope to bring cattle up kind of a horse.

Turquoise had her first foal this past April, a gorgeous colt by Once You Go Black. She took the first try and had a perfect pregnancy and delivery. She is as good of a mother as one could ask for. Turquoise is currently confirmed in foal to Boonified for a May 2025 foal that has a high % chance of being a blue roan.

Turquoise has never taken a lame step a day in her life. She does toe in on her right front, but has never worn shoes, and never had any issues and we have ridden her hard. Of course, vet checks are more than welcome at buyer’s expense.

This mare is a once in a lifetime kind of a horse. She means so much to my family, we will only let her go to a situation we find fitting for her. She deserves the best.

She is priced at $25,000 absolutely firm. Do not ask me if I will go lower - I will not. She is worth every penny.
