Meet Boon! He is a lovely palomino color with dark hooves. His mane and tail are thick and beautiful. We purchased boon at age 4 from a gaited horse trainer who rode him in Missouri on the trails there. We have ridden him on our ranch ever since. Boon is used to other horses, cows, dogs, and cats.
He likes people and is very friendly and comes willingly to you in the pasture. He stands well for our farrier and we ride him barefoot. He loads and unloads easily.
We have acres of creek, pastures, and hills to ride. We check cattle on him and have worked with him to open and close gates. We take care to vaccinate each year and also have his teeth checked yearly.
Although Boon is gaited, he will walk and does not always have to be speeding down the trail. However, he will gait willingly, when asked.
