A trail rider's dream, Pepperlena Gunsmoke aka Waffles is a 15.2 2007 model registered AQHA with fabulous lineage back to Doc Bar. This guy is versatile and has done it all. Prior to me he was a ranch horse in Kansas, where he was born. Since then, he has done 4 years of competitive drill (no kicking or biting), sorted, been to the beach multiple times, camped and done a couple thousand trail miles. He handles trail obstacles with ease, has been exposed to wildlife on the trail (including a bear), farm machinery, fireworks, bikes and handled it all no problem. His steady disposition and sure-footedness make him an excellent candidate for endurance or competitive trail riding. He also spent 3-4 months with a trainer in the winter months during the time we were drilling to keep him in shape and soft in the bridle. He is happy anywhere in the pack on the trail and really walks out. He loves water and crosses it with ease. He has occasionally bucked (but not on the trail), so not suited for young or inexperienced riders.
Good in a pasture or stall. Loads and trailers well. Up to date on vaccinations, no lameness issues and just got new shoes.
