Mario: 16.3++hh 8 year old (2016 foal) fancy big, black elegant draft cross gelding (grade Percheron draft cross): Mario is a really cool dude, he is absolutely stunning and a mellow sweet gelding. He has that wonderful temperament draft crosses are known for, he takes everything in stride and he is friendly, non-dramatic, easy-going, willing and a big sweetie. He has the size, looks, & movement to be your next quality hunting prospect, family horse, event horse, dressage horse, he also drives the best and can be ridden western and rides bareback and trail rides. He could also be used for vaulting or police work. Mario has great manners, no vices, is easy to have around, no big quirks, no soundness issues and does not need maintenance. He has no blemishes or limitations. He is suitable to be finished by an amateur and would also make a good investment horse for someone who wants to produce him as an elegant foxhunter and/or would make a lovely family horse. He's a fall asleep on the cross-ties kind of guy. He's been with us all summer and is used to being ridden by a variety of different riders, even though there are some things he is still learning himself. He is tolerant, non-spooky, and safe but still learning about dressage basics and will be doing more jumping in Sept if not sold before then (only because his jumping trainer is not available until then). Mario is very safe and will ride on a loose rein. He has a soft mouth and is a big mover, so he is best with someone who likes a big horse and isn't intimidated by his size/stride. Would like to note, he is not on auto-pilot yet, he is not yet a packer and still needs some guidance but he is very uncomplicated and willing. He can be ready to go cubbing this Fall. He is like a big couch and very comfortable and a big guy with lots of bone. He is not strong in the mouth and rides in a simple snaffle. For folks who drive, if you bring a draft or full size horse harness, we can hitch him to our carriage for a demo. Otherwise I will get a harness for him in Sept if he is not sold by then. Mario has absolutely no vices or soundness issues and has a clean bill of health. He ties, bathes, ships, loads, etc. and his only "quirk" we have found is a dislike for having his sheath cleaned. He is UTD on vet, farrier, dentist, deworming, and coggins. He has excellent feet, does not require maintenance, is easy on feed, gets along great with other horses, well-mannered for vet and farrier and dentist, and is an all-around sane, saintly big draft cross who can do any discipline! Mario comes with a set of clean x-rays and exam all ready to go, available for a serious buyer's review. Horses like Mario do not come along all the time, I would grab this one! As always we are looking for a good fit, so please let us know what you're looking for when you reach out, thank you
