" Mercury" is a kind, people loving and talented 8 years young gelding. He is handsome and uphill. He is schooling first level with a good start on lateral work with huge potential and natural talent. He is a sensitive but sensible ride and aims to please and is so willing to work. When you go to get Mercury he drops his head for the halter and is excited to be with his person. He is currently in a full time training program getting exposure to things like trail riding, obstacles, lower level jumping, etc while still maintaining a consistent classical dressage work regimen. Three wonderful uphill gaits, easy to sit trot and a spectacular canter ( his best gait). Mercury's ideal match is a adult amateur or JR rider with a quiet seat and leg with clear consistent aids to bring out his best potential. He does not offer any hidden surprises under saddle but still looks to his rider for confidence. It is with great regret that I offer Mercury for sale. I am a senior rider and he is just a horse or two higher up than I feel is right for me at this age. I need to work with a trainer who can also ride him and they simply are not in my area. Mercury will free lunge at liberty willingly with total obedience. -Uphill mover, free shoulder, great hind end especially in the canter, he is destined for the FEI ring.
