This gelding has a right stifle issue. I am not selling him as sound. Patterned on barrels, no buck, gentle, loads ties, good for farrier, actually a little bit lazy when riding him, has been hauled overnight I forfeited his Pink amd Ruby buckle payments because he was not sound last year Possibilities: Buddy / companion horse, equine therapy horse, pasture pet that loves people! Maybe get second opinion and have a sound horse History: Bought as a yearling 2019 Developed bone chip in his left hock (OCD lesion )2 months after purchase Had surgery in a Weatherford by Dr Chad Marsh no complications complete recovery While there he had check ligament surgery both front legs for mild- moderate club feet . He has had excellent farrier work and his angles are corrected. Sent to colt starter Shawn McConnell in 2020 for 90 days Was started on barrels and on track for 2023 futurities In the summer of 2022 he came in from the pasture limping on right hind This started a long series of injections/procedures/ PRP/ Prostride to try and get him sound. I have all vet records Arthroscopy was unrevealing which lead us to believe he had an ACL tear I have a lot of time and money in this horse trying to get him sound and also spent countless hours riding and training him I have never taken him for second opinion because I was seeing reputable performance vet and trusted their judgement Have not done any more treatment or investigation of the stifle since fall of 2023 All vaccinations, teeth, worming, up to date. His feet are trimmed every 6 weeks He has a very sweet personality, he is gentle He could be a pasture pet and would make a great companion…he loves people. Equine therapy could be an option for him. He would be great for someone to love and pet on but most of these places already have enough horses. However if you would like to take a chance and try to get him sound , you would have a nice horse. I am trying to find him a good home. He is thriving and not miserable and is enjoying his life here. I like to compete so I have found one to replace him . I need to find a purpose for him and at the same time lower my feed bill. I want him to go somewhere he will be taken care of and have a job even if it is eating apples. He would also make a buddy horse , in the process of his training he has been hauled to see the sights at big races and hauls well overnight. He has been to BBR finals… Bonus race, and other overnight races. …
