Great All-Around Horse! Levelheaded and well mannered, 5yo gelding with excellent breeding: by Union Rags, out of a Curlin mare. Take him any direction! This guy has a warmblood type build. He rides western or English. Stands still to be mounted and won’t walk off until asked. He has extensive trail experience rides out confidently alone or in a group, side passes with ease to open or close gates, crosses water and bridges, goes through any obstacle, can lead or follow in a group, and walks back to the barn on a loose rein. He ponies other horses/donkeys/mules on trail rides and has taught young horses how to be ponied for the first time. He has jumped up to 2’3”. Turn him out in the pasture alone or with a mixed heard; never anxious or herd-bound! He is a great babysitter for weanlings and yearlings, demonstrating a maternal nature toward the young ones. He is easy to catch, and he comes when called. He trailers well, walks onto any trailer without hesitation. He has been hauled all over the U.S. and is the same horse anywhere you take him! Stands tied for bathing, farrier, clipping, and vet work; he respects your space. He loves kids! He is super friendly and absolutely adores attention, a barn favorite. He currently lives out 24/7 with access to come and go from the barn at will. He can be stalled without issue; he loves a fan in the summertime. Jasper thrives with a job and is best suited for a regular training program with an intermediate rider. He has been off the track since February 2022 and retired sound without injuries.
