Beautiful 6 year old AQHA chestnut gelding for sale-
*Dallas is a registered quarter horse, he is 16 hands , and just turned 6 years old.
He is broke to ride, Ive done all his training.
He is a very relaxed comfortable horse to ride and he is very soft in the mouth and mostly uses leg cues to direct him, you barely ever even have to use your reins with him at all , he knows that “woah” means stop and he is got a good stop, we are still working on it but he understands what it means , to back him up you just make a clicking noise and hold your reins forward towards his ears and he will immediately start backing up. He has a natural easy relaxed trot and a comfortable easy going lope until you ask him for more speed. He is a very easy keeper and gets along with most horses , he is probably medium to lower on the pecking order. He rides out by himself with no problem . He is great for farrier, loves baths, and meets you at the gate the moment he sees you every time. I bought him hoping he would be the barrel horse I’ve been looking for but unfortunately he isn’t very interested in it, he would be wonderful for anything from western pleasure to possibly even reining or just trails, he is a extremely smart horse and learns incredibly fast. He side passes with slack in the rope towards me on the ground in both directions. Lunges awesome with slack in the lunge line . I would recommend a experienced rider/ a trainer only because he is used to leg cues and more experienced cues from someone who knows how to do those type of things. He just got his teeth floated about 5 months ago and he is barefoot and trimmed on a regular schedule. I’ve only rode him in a western saddle but I am sure if you put a english saddle on him he would be fine.
