Tall, dark and handsome! Chip is a phenomenally bred registered 2018 AQHA gelding of 15.2 hands who has a western pleasure training background. Used for trail riding last few years, Chip will ride in the front or the back of the pack. Crosses water, ditches, around cut logs, bicycles and dog safe. Chip rides on a loose rein in the bridle. Works off leg, pivots, backs, two track and sidepass, open and closes gates. Well broke for arena work, lopes nice circles and has been used around cattle. He is gentle and friendly to humans, horses, dogs and other livestock including goats and llamas. Does fine in pasture or in a stall. He ties, clips, baths, loads and hauls, and is good for the farrier and vet. Up to date on all maintenance. Sound and sturdy built. Will pack just about anyone in the arena, more whoa than go. While he appreciates an experienced rider, he’s done a fine job as a trail mount for a newer rider and has been hauled a lot of fun places to trail ride the past years. Been up in the mountains, down in the river canyons, gone out a bunch and has handled all kinds of situations (storms/hail/wildlife) very well. Would make a top notch 4H or open show horse for a handy youth rider, continue as a trusty trail horse or turn him into your next go-to ranch mount. Chip has great hooves, easy keeper, sound and is a cool, chill all-around horse. Would be great for: Western Pleasure, Ranch Versatility, Lessons, Trails, All Around Show, 4H, Hunter Under the saddle Text or email for photos and videos, we have lots!
