JJH Emmy Lou (Fair Acres Ole x Badgerland Signe)
8 year old brown dun fjord mare registered with the NFHR. She is 14.2 hands tall and currently nursing her 2024 foal, Drago.
Emmy Lou is a lovely mare in terms of temperament, conformation, and movement. She is trained to ride and drive. Most of her riding experience has been on the trails. She has been used on overnight pack trips and is comfortable tying on a high line and wearing grazing hobbles. She crosses water and bridges.
Emmy has also been driven in a team on our neighborhood dirt roads and is comfortable with traffic. We've used her for snow plowing.
Emmy Lou is an easy foaling mare. She is nursing Drago, but he is old enough to be weaned anytime. She is bred back to Landsdrop Nyx for a May 2025 foal. Emmy Lou is well adjusted to being a working mother and willingly leaves her foals for riding, driving or breeding work.
Emmy Lou would make a wonderful addition to a riding, driving, and/or breeding home. While not a finished arena horse, she has the basics to become one. The arena videos below were taken a couple of weeks ago and were only her 3rd ride this year.
