Meet Deacon, the horse of your dreams! A striking red coat accented by a flowing flaxen mane & tail, he is not only an eye-catcher, but a true gentleman! Deacon is a 6 yr old, 16.3 hand, Belgian/Quarter Horse Cross gelding that is the perfect combination of beauty, brains, & heart!
With balanced gaits, surefootedness, and a willing, gentle nature, Deacon is as fun to ride as he is easy to love. He has a nice neck rein, a good stop & turn around. He moves laterally off your leg and lopes circles both directions on the correct lead. Deacon rides out alone or in a group. Perfectly content to lead or follow. He is not herd bound. Suitable & safe for someone who would like to explore the countryside alone. He only goes the speed he is asked, rides through the woods, rides through open pastures, pushes cattle using working dogs, crosses water, goes up and down inclines, & confidently navigates rough terrain.
Beyond his capabilities under saddle, this gelding is truly gentle and kind-hearted. His laid back nature is a pleasure to have around the barn. He enjoys countless minutes of grooming by the kids, has impeccable ground manors, & is always easy to catch. He is always neat and tidy if kept in a stall, but is also perfectly content living outside among others. He is currently turned out daily with mares, geldings, & minis and never causes a fuss. Deacon is a pleasure to load, haul, and stands tied.
