Everything you need to know about Copper: He is a sweet, willing and sound 13 yr old gelding! What you see is what you get! I’ll start by saying he’s the perfect horse if you’re looking for a project that’s ready to start in a career or bring along in a certain discipline/direction. Solid W/T/C. Neck reins, direct reins. No maintenance needed. Great ground manners, ties, bathes, loads, tacks up very well. He’s just never been used for anything specific. He’s Done a lot of everything though, barrels, poles, jumps, moving cattle, trail riding, fundamentals of liberty and dressage etc. he can be speedy, he walks out, has a fast trot and forward canter. He’s very responsive to being slowed down but you have to know how to ask therefore an intermediate or experienced rider who has good control over their own body in the saddle and can communicate with him without you both getting frustrated. Because he’s fast it can intimidate some riders. I’ve got videos of walk trot and canter. he has never done me wrong, no buck, bolt, rear, bite, kick. He’s got the most mild spook as we’ve done a lot of desensitization and exposure out on trials etc. he’s good with dogs and other livestock. He’s not great at trailering out. He loads himself but as soon as the doors close and your moving he gets nervous! I’ve spent a lot and a lot of time working with him on it and he gets better every day so I think that would be an easy fix! Truly have so many great things to say about this gelding. He’s currently being worked and ridden 4x a week and I’ll be keeping that up until sold. Please reach out for other info and those videos!
