Ryder is a family oriented gelding that can ride with some class for the adults, yet gentle enough for the young kids to ride around. He has done just about anything we have asked of him, from roping and tracking the skid, shooting off of him and letting my 3 year old daughter lead him all around. He has a walk, trot and lope that is smooth as silk, as well as a nice deep stop and smooth transitions. He has a one handed neck rein, and will move willingly off of your leg cues. Ryder does great out on the trail, carefully placing his feet to take care of his rider in any situation. He gets along great with the other horses in the pasture, and has no vices pulling him out of the stall on Monday morning. Ryder stands quietly for the farrier, and will ground tie until you tell him differently. He is the perfect size for a rider with bad knees, as he is easy to get on and off on the trail. He has been exposed to all farm machinery, equipment, road traffic, gunfire, deer, cattle- you name it. He is sound and up to date on teeth, vaccines, coggins, and health paper. This gelding has been nothing short of a pleasure to work with since he stepped foot on our property. No matter what direction you want to go, this phenomenal gelding will be sure to take you there. He has all the buttons: side pass, turn around, leg yield, but just as easily-point and go. Gentle, flashy and broke, with unlimited potential!
