“Gracie” is a 16.1 QH mare who is sure to turn heads. She is as sweet as she is cute! Gracie was originally a ranch horse where she worked cattle and was a roping horse. Since we’ve had her, she has predominantly been a trail/arena horse for my husband. She has a solid w/t/l, moves off the leg, has impeccable ground manners, rides well in a group or alone, is great for the vet/farrier, stands tied for hours, and loads/trailers like a dream. She is hobbled trained and gone camping. She has logged many miles on the trails and will confidently cross water and bridges. She is a quiet mare who is pretty non reactive to just about anything! She is more go then whoa, so because of that, she is not suitable for a beginner. With that said, we have been battling a front left hoof lameness and that’s what forces her sale as it has limited her use and what we need in a horse, but she is too nice to just sit. She is currently barefoot. We have been working with an equine podiatrist to properly balance her hooves and have been successful in getting her more sound and comfortable. She will not pass a PPE, but I have all of her x-rays and vet reports on file. Currently she is only suitable for light riding, so if you’re looking for a partner to do some light hacking on the trail, maybe even a broodmare- she is the perfect candidate!
