NOT A KIDS HORSE!
8 year old gelding. Project horse for intermediate rider only. I started him as a six year old. He has only bucked under saddle 1 time and that was after about 30 rides over a year ago. In the saddle he is great. Walk, trot, lope. Will make a snappy turn and has been trotted around barrels. He is soft in the face and moves great off foot pressure. I have only rode him in and o-ring snaffle with a martingale. He had a solid stop, drops head, and backs. He has done some fence work, rode next to a side by side with loud music playing and I’ve blown him off with a leaf blower. I bathe him all the time and can pick all four feet. He is a project and has his quirks. Needs a lot more groundwork and can be spooky. He has a problem with the farrier but he stood after moving him around a bit. Up to date on all vaccinations and had his feet trimmed and shoes put on fronts recently.
