Meet Wishbone, he is a 4 year old Mustang Cross gelding standing at 14.2 hands. Wishbone is extremely brave and absolutely loves to jump! Point and shoot he’s jumping it, he is suited to kids and small amateurs under the guidance of a trainer as he needs finishing on the flat. He loves hacking out alone or with friends, for his age he is extremely safe and calm, nothing bothers him. Wishbone loves to work and takes his work seriously, he has more pep in his step than woah but it’s all out of wanting to please and excitement to work. He has never bucked or presented bad behavior. He needs a program that will properly help to bring him along on the flat, the foundation is there he just needs to gain strength over time.
Though he is small he feels like a proper horse when riding him and has great movement in all gaits. Rider in the video is 5’8”. He is very light in the bridle and moves off the seat and leg, even though he gets excited to jump he keeps a nice rhythm before and after the jumps. I see him best suited to Eventing as he loves a challenge and is incredibly brave but he would also make a great Jumper or Hunter. Because Wishbone is so bold and brave he will give his rider great confidence in jumping. I have had him for a year and he is incredibly smart, he picks things up immediately and is a pleasure to work with, he is very special and will only get better with time -a unicorn in the making!
Wishbone has always been barefoot, loads, ties, bathes with a puppy dog personality. He walks right up to you in the pasture and puts his head in the halter, if I grab another horse he will follow me begging to be chosen. He is desensitized to traps, tubes, umbrellas you name it I’ve made him wear it. To the absolute best home only that wants to show as he has so much to offer.
Wishbone placed 4th at his last starter schooling Event and will be competing starter Sept 21st and 22nd at Heritage Park USEA recognized Event in Olathe KS. Located in Kansas.
