Donny is an absolutely beautiful solid black Friesian cross with a Kiger mustang. Big boned and stocky he looks pure friesian. Great confirmation. He has beautiful natural movement, walk trot canter and has been in a few intro level dressage shows. He’s been to the ocean a number of times, to a despook clinic, and an ETS trail challenge. The majority of his riding has been trail and some arena. He is not for beginners, kids or husbands. In order for him to succeed he needs someone experienced and consistent to move him up the levels of dressage or whatever direction you choose. I would consider him broke but not for anyone inexperienced. If you have ever worked with Friesians you know what I’m talking about..he is a fun horse but will challenge his rider and when there is someone that doesn’t know what they are doing he picks up on that. I started him myself as a 4 year old and at 6 he had two months of professional dressage training. He is barefoot and has great hard feet. He’s a very easy keeper. Loves attention, loves baths, trailers, stands tied, easy to catch etc. Teeth were floated in Feb. this year. I’ve owned him since birth. He was left with his mom until 8 months and gelded around that time. His one vice is he has a sticking stifle issue. It could easily be fixed with surgery but it does not affect him whatsoever with consistent work. This horse will make someone a great partner and I am only selling because I lack the time and he is too nice to just sit in a pasture.
