RY SUPER NOVA "Nova" 2005 Leopard/Roan, Quarter/POA gelding. He stands between 14.0-14.1 hands. Calm under saddle and on the ground, has a very sweet "in your pocket" disposition, but is very respectful. He is very well behaved in a show atmosphere and he loads/travels well. He has taught me, along with many other young riders, how to be competitive and have fun both in and out of the arena. Nova excels in the show ring, having competed all around the state of Montana and has many buckles/ribbons/trophies to show for it. He was my 4H horse and completed all the project levels (1-7). He is soft in the face, knows his leads, pivots and spins, side passes, and transitions smoothly between gaits- this guy has all the fancy buttons. He is willing to work, always puts in his best effort rain or shine, and is forgiving with beginner riders. He is not a deadhead, this horse does it all and looks good doing it- bareback, western equitation, showmanship, pattern work, reining, etc. Nova is also a great all around horse and has been used for other activities including trail riding, horse camps, cattle, and parades- he stands tied at the trailer, does well around traffic/vehicles, loads and unloads well. He has no vices- stands well for bathing/banding, stands for farrier, is not herd bound or buddy/barn sour, bridles and tacks with ease, no issues with fly spray. Meets you at the fence- easy to catch. No BUCK or BITE, I have never had an incident in the 10+ years I have owned him. He can be ridden bareback and in a halter out in the field. He is an easy keeper! Does well around other horses, tends to be higher up in the pecking order. Due to his age and experience he does require some maintenance- he has developed arthritis in the hocks which can be managed. Nova is up to date having had a wellness exam this spring covering his vaccinations and worming, along with being trimmed and shod by our farrier. This is my heart horse, so a good home and fit is a MUST. I am selling him because I am moving forward to graduate school and no longer have the time to give him the love and attention he deserves. This horse has a lot to offer to another young, smaller rider or a smaller mature adult who seeks to ride and show safely and not overuse. Most importantly you will have that horse that can connect on a heart level. I would love to have the opportunity to see him help someone else grow and learn just as he helped me. He is that one in a million horse you never thought existed, but does. I have ample video and photo footage (Equitation, Showmanship, Ranch Horse, etc for truly interested, good match homes). Please do not waste time inquiring if you are unable to or do not wish to provide a seriously amazing home to this boy.
