Meet Gracie! This incredible mare, located in La Center, WA, is one of the kindest horses I’ve worked with. She is silly, she is fun. She is incredibly skilled. Double registered as a pinto and drum, Gracie is a tested show queen, excelling nationwide in versatility and breed shows. She moves off pressure, excels through R+, neck reins, and is perfectly sound w/t/c. She is a forward mover but still with that wide booty and stout body, the ideal partner for most equestrians. She will excel in dressage and trail. A barn favorite, she is loved by all who know her, and it will be a hard goodbye for many. She is currently being ridden by a teenage girl, who absolutely loves her, but isn’t in a place for ownership. Gracie is only seeking a new pasture because she is ready for a forever home, with love and time to give. She is priced appropriately in the lower 5’s starting with a 1. We will accept reasonable offers from the perfect home.

Her new home:

Gracie will excel in a home with a primary rider who is at least an intermediate, or working under a trainer. She has a lot of buttons and is soft, so an unskilled hand could push something they don’t mean to. Gracie prefers a confident, consistent, and fair hand. She needs a partner that knows the difference between kindness and boundaries and uses both. She wants her partner with her every step of the way and won’t let you check out during your rides. We would prefer Gracie to go to a home with someone who is experienced with drafts as they are very different from the average horse. The home that Gracie goes to should be kind, with an eye for equine welfare. Gracie will not excel living by herself or living in a stall for the majority of her time, despite her show caliber. She will always need friends!
