Caramella is a 15.2hh, 3 year old (01/26/21) unraced TB mare. She’s quite butt high so she still has some growing to do and will most likely mature to 15.3/16hh. She has had lots of groundwork put into her and she’s very smart and willing. She is QUIET QUIET QUIET. She has a wonderful brain. She has been to multiple local horse shows, ridden by myself and multiple 15 year old girls, getting champion and a few reserve champions. She’s not necessarily your flat winner, movement-wise, but she’s very quiet, relaxed and easy which still puts her in the ribbons. She has simple lead changes, which will eventually become automatic with time and more ring work. She’s been the exact same horse for all of the different riders that have been on her, even a beginner/intermediate lesson student. Even though she’s great to show, fox hunting is truly where she belongs. She spent the end of the summer trail riding and hound walking and is now out cubbing. She’s had hounds run by, pop out of corn fields and is totally fine with it. I have only jumped her about 18”, maybe a little higher out cubbing, due to her age and the fact that she’s still growing. Currently barefoot and sound, but I will be putting front shoes with studs on as we continue into hunting season. Lives out for the most part, gets along with mares or geldings and has been in a mixed herd. Good for vet, farrier, baths. UTD on shots, coggins, deworming.
