Buddy is a Registered 15.3h 8 year old TWH bright chestnut gelding. He has a very comfortable ground covering dog walk, smooth slow and faster racking gaits, as well as a great canter. He can slow down to go behind Quarter Horses or move out with other gaited horses. He has been trail ridden many miles in Va. and N.C on 4-5 days camping trips, frequent day trips, and regularly ridden on 2-3 hours of trails around our farm. He is very willing on the trail, sure footed on difficult or rocky terrain, has tremendous stamina, is respectful of his rider and other horses. He has been exposed daily to many different challenges such as four wheelers, tractors, farm equipment, cattle, and hunting. He goes thru deep brush, mud, steep hills, deep sand, and water. He stands for cutting trail limbs, from his back, breaking off limbs as you go down the trail, and dragging brush. Loads and hauls quietly. Great solid hooves, holds shoes well, stands quietly for the farrier, bathes, clips,loves to be groomed or petted. No rear, buck , kick, crib, chew, or weave. Neck reigns, side passes, leg yields, turns on the forehand and haunches. You can open and close the gate from his back. Stands quietly for mounting from mounting block or from the ground. Buddy is an athletic, strong, partner to have on the trail. Best suited for an intermediate rider due to his training. Current Coggins and vaccinations. Low man in the pecking order. Buddy is very affectionate and will follow you anywhere to be loved and petted.
