Meet Fabio! He is looking for his next dance partner 🕺…could that be you ? This very talented sweet 6 yr old gelding is a born in captivity mustang (no brand) that has potential to be a wonderful dressage prospect or sport horse . He is just under 15 hands but has that lovely uphill build and typey look of a Morgan . I would consider him a balance of whoa and go , not too sensitive that you’ll be holding him back the entire ride ….but you won’t have to prod him along for each step either .😉 He is solid walk trot canter , some lateral work , backing and he will go over any poles ,logs etc …but I wouldn’t consider him in jumping shape . He rides in the arena the same as out in the field . I can easily ride him away from horses without a fuss but also is well mannered with company . Fabio’s ground manners are near perfect ….he does with ease all the skills expected of a horse . Always easy to catch and can be pastured with other horses ….just a good natured guy in general!
This horse has less than a year under saddle so no beginner riders. I want to see thrive in a dressage or English based home . This mustang has the potential to make someone a lovely performance horse ….dressage or working equitation would be ideal! Fabio is more sensitive and does occasionally need a confident rider when he is nervous …so if a little spook here or there is uncomfortable for you than this is not the horse for you . He is not dangerous by any means , won’t take off bucking , rearing or bolting . He is kind and wants to do the right thing !
He is short backed therefore keep that in mind for saddle fit and rider size. I personally would not put more than a 17.5 seat dressage/English saddle on his back . I am 135 and a tad under 5’3 for rider reference
