10 year old pinto gelding (2014). Broke: Guaranteed sound. Guaranteed no buck. He jumps, ropes, runs barrels, goes all day in the mountains, been ponied and had others ponied off of him. Built like a brick house standing on solid feet. I’ve used him barefoot in the mountains for years, just put shoes on him so you know he is good for the farrier. Neck reins, direct reins. Gentle ground manners for little children handling him on foot. This gelding is a willing, forward ride who is sensitive to leg and hand cues, and best suited for an intermediate rider. Rimfire will excel if his rider is working with a trainer to perfect whichever sport you want to pursue. He has not refused a fence I’ve pointed him at. A flashy palomino with 4 white socks, a splash white face and belly spot! He knickers when he hears your voice or truck and would love to be spoiled in a barn but he’s an easy keeper and I’ve had him in pasture year round living on pasture grass or hay. Absolutely no maintenance. Loads in a trailer quiet and backs out. The only reason I am selling Rimfire is to buy a bigger mountain horse; I would consider trades for a larger mare or gelding that is similarly sound, sane, and broke and can carry a grown man. A great long term partner for this good boy might be a kid that knows how to ride and wants to keep up with the big horses or a lady rider who doesn’t want to climb up on a tall horse and is pursuing mountain riding, endurance riding or 3 Day eventing. Come try out Rimfire on a beautiful trail under the Tetons in Jackson Hole Wyoming. Ample video available.
