Hancocks Famous Lion (Hank) 2018 AQHA/ ARHA registered gelding for sale. Up to date on shots, coggins, ferrier, dental, dewormer. No health issues, never colicked or had any health issues. This gelding has great conformation, a ton of bone and excellent feet. He's been ridden and shown since he was 2 years old and has never taken a lame step.
Over the last 5 years he's been shown in the American Ranch Horse Association in the ranch rail, trail, ranchmanship, horsemanship, reining, conformation, showmanship, roping, and boxing classes. He has also done some 4H shows where he was shown and excelled in english and dressage. He has also been on trail rides and used to push cattle and did well in both. He knows all of the natural horsemanship groundwork, has excellent ground manners, and has liberty training.
He clips, bathes, loads in the trailer, and stands tied. He's not buddy sour, will ride alone or with a group, and gets along with others in the pasture. He has lots of miles of travel under his belt and travels well. He stalls well but needs turn-out time to be successful.
He is extremely safe to be around, not aggressive at all, and desensitized to almost everything. However, he will not be sold as a young kids horse or a beginner horse as he has his quarks. He has lots of energy which is extremely useful at shows but he can get a bit intimidating to a beginner rider because of his size and big stride. He has been shown in the snaffle bit and bosal but has not been shown one handed in the bridle yet and needs some finishing.
He would continue to excel at ARHA with an older youth or amateur rider. He is big enough to be extremely successful as a head horse but stops hard enough to be a breakaway or heel horse. He's bred to run barrels and would excel with some barrel training. He would also make a fantastic western dressage horse.
