Whisky was purchased by an older lady a little over a year ago and since she has decided to stop riding. Whisky came from an all around barn which included some jumping, dressage, western and natural horsemanship. She was used for some teens riding lessons and trail ridden often. Since being purchased she was mostly used for in hand activities and some walk only riding. She has been back in training for the last 90 days with us at an eventing barn. She has progressed well in her dressage! She has an easy to sit walk and trot, her canter is coming along but does need some more balance however her transitions are great. She can go slow or will gladly move off your leg and become a forward ride. She has excellent leg yields, bending, and shoulder in. She has started jumping again as well. She is jumping some filler and doing 2ft courses. She has been used for some teen rider lessons as well. She "self loads" to the mounting block and stands for mounting. She has amazing ground manners, leads politely, stands tied well, stands for farrier and bathing. She lunges well and moves her feet forward, back and sideways well. Has been exposed to tarps, balls and bags. We have not trail ridden her much since being in the program and would need a bit of a refresher. She also will need a bit more work with fly spray and clippers. She can be a nervous horse so would be best for a confident advanced beginner and up. She likes to know her handler and once she trusts you she tries her hardest to figure out what you want from her and to please. She has been focusing on English based riding but could definitely go western. She can come with some of her western tack if desired. Please message with any questions and we have plenty of videos of her upon request. Can also call/text 616-610-1369.
