Toffee is an approximately 14.2 hand, grade mare who has a history that's a bit of a mystery. She was acquired by one of our students within the last year. The student is selling her as they have other horses that they are currently focusing on. The previous owners got her from a rescue where they had said her first owners were using her both as a broodmare and riding horse. She is currently in training just to get a little bit of a tune up to give her the very best chance of finding her a perfect forever home that she truly deserves so much. Toffee goes out on the trails and seems to be bold and willing. She doesn't seem spooky or worried about anything that comes her way. It seems she has been exposed to a lot in life and although she sometimes seems unsure of people at first you will find that the second you are around her and get to know her, she shows her laid back and relaxed side and very much wants to bond with people. She can be slightly barn sour but is easily talked through that. Toffee has been ridden both English and Western and seems to just be happy having consistency and establishing more of a connection with her rider. Specifically, when we ride her, we have been working on getting her to understand basic aids as she can get confused with what exactly you are asking her to do, for example sometimes when you add leg, she can get quick and other times thinks it's a que to back. In the perfect world we would love to find her a forever home where someone will bond with her both on the ground and under saddle. The more time I have spent working with Toffee the more I have truly been able to see how much she is looking to please. This is a great little horse. I also do believe that there's potential with some continued tune up miles she could work for a lesson program looking for an English horse to do the pile of poles or cross rails. I have videos available upon request. I am also happy to chat over the phone about any additional information you would like.
