The filly’s sire is Oakleys Tru Starlight aka Zeke. He is own son of Tru Oakley (2nd highest open point earner in APHA history) who’s produced some phenomenal performance paint foals especially focused on barrels/poles. Zeke’s dam is daughter of A True Legacy (sire of ROM, Superior and World Champion Earners). Also on Zeke’s papers is A Tru Rolex (Highest open point earner in APHA history) and Shots Flying Spark (another APHA legend)!
Zeke is broke to ride but unfortunately was never shown due to lack of time with owner. He has correct conformation, good bone, beautiful movement and an amazing disposition.
The filly’s dam is Carolina Champagne aka Carolina. Her lineage is all around performance. Her sire California Champagne is the most well known champagne paint stallion and was an amazing ranch horse along with his sire Good Gold Almighty. They both were bred to put in a solid days work which both did tending to their cattle ranches and they have that extra bonus of color. CR Black Buttons is on Carolina’s topside pedigree as well and he was the sire of many performance offspring that were winners. On Carolina’s dams side her dams sire Majestalito produced world class offspring competing in both western and english events. One of his daughters I know has earned points and money with NRHA and produced point and money earning offspring as well.
Carolina started off here as our personal family trail horse. She has an amazing disposition and super smart. She completed 60 days of training in 2015 and that was all she needed and we were out on the trails with her. Never a spook, buck or misstep. She is my husband’s heart horse.
Carolina has produced very athletic performance foals for us, one which competed in a trail obstacle series called C2TV and ended with placing for nationals which they won Reserve Futurity Winner and received a buckle. Carolina also has another son that was exported to Europe and was kept a stallion and competed in reining.
This filly is the complete Paint package! Looks, conformation, athletic ability, disposition, genetic panel tested and the best start on training.
The filly will be halter/lead broke, easy to catch, easy to groom, pick up all feet and good for farrier, will load into and back out of trailer, give to pressure and started on tie training. She will have a current coggins. I can help arrange transport if needed. She will be dewormed monthly while here and receive routine hoof rasping/trims. Buyer will be updated with photos and video to be able to follow her growth and learning while here.
