This boy right here is guaranteed to steal your heart, he has a puppy dog personality, complimented by a silly, curious, make you laugh type of attitude! Baron has a very special place in my heart, as I have used him all summer for fun western events. If you are looking for a fun western horse, that likes kids, and can dabble in the english world as well, continue reading!! In the barn, he has no bad habits. He whinnies every time you walk past his stall, and he comes running to you in the pasture. This boy is full of personality. He stands on the cross ties to be groomed, bathed, tacked, etc. He is very gentle on the ground and can certainly take a joke. He is safe with kids and beginners to work around, and doesn’t mind dogs being rowdy around his feet. He will follow you around like a dog, and is a total lover boy. On the trails, he will lead, follow, go out alone and in groups. He is brave, and willing. He will cross water, logs, bridges, rocks, and loves to swim in the lake. He is adventurous, and likes to explore. He is safe with bikes, traffic, deer, etc. I would not say is a lazy plug along type, he moves out nicely and would be an awesome camping partner, or hunt horse! Baron has been a “personal horse” of mine all summer. I have hauled him to many events. He has such a cool, okay let’s go do this, type of brain. I can use him 5 days in a row or let him sit for a week, he doesn’t mind either way. I have been using him for team penning, and ranch sorting, along with playing around and learning more about western cues and such. He hops right on the trailer every time, alone or with company. He is a good boy off of property, and doesn’t mind the rodeo commotion. Baron is a fun, and agile, cow horse. He will cut a cow, stop a cow, chase a cow, rope and drag a cow, you name it, he LOVES it. I am a beginner in the cow world, and I have learned a lot with him. He is quick when needed, but will also be slower with moving a cow when asked. He is responsive to your hands, legs, seat and voice commands, but in an amateur friendly way. In the ring, Baron will walk, jog, trot, lope, and canter. He pivots, side passes, stops, backs, moves laterally off of your leg, knows his leads, and neck reins. I would put him between whoa and go, he will travel around on the buckle, but moves out when asked. He is not lazy, but he is not hot nor forward, he is pretty much right where you would want him, in order to enjoy chasing cows, and schooling on the flat. He would be beautiful in ranch trail classes, or even dressage! I have ridden Baron many times with just a neck rope! Baron will ride western, english, and bareback. His gaits are smooth and
