Two lovely draft cross prospects- Onyx is a 4 year old, 15.3hh percheron cross mare. She’s sweet and easy to work around both on the ground and under saddle. She was started under saddle this summer and is coming along nicely. She’s currently doing basic flatwork in the arena WTC. She has three comfortable, nicely balanced gaits and is the perfect quiet, but not lazy. Onyx is jumping small fences in the arena and is super game out in the XC field. She’s brave going through the water, up and down the bank, and over the ditch. She is excellent out trail riding alone or with company. In the barn Onyx is sweet with a big personality. She thoroughly enjoys attention. She has good ground manners. Stands nicely tied or on the cross ties, bathes, clips, loads easily, and has been good for the vet and farrier. Onyx is happy in the stall or living out and gets along well with others in turnout. She’s an easy keeper, healthy and sound with no vices and has solid feet. Onyx is still young and green, so not for a beginner, but with her good mind and willing attitude would be a suitable prospect for a AA/junior. She’d likely be a blast to hunter pace/fox hunt, is a super trail horse, or could do some low level eventing, dressage etc.. Just a fun, safe, all around type. Odin is a 4 year old, 17hh percheron cross gelding. Odin was started under saddle this summer and is coming along nicely. He’s a sensible, willing guy with three lofty gaits. He’s currently going nicely WTC, is quiet and confident out trail riding, and has just been introduced to some cavaletti’s. He’s been through the water out in the XC field, goes up and down the bank, and over the ditch. On the ground he truly is a gentle giant. He’s incredibly kind, loves attention, and has excellent ground manners. He’s stands nicely tied or on the cross ties, bathes, clips, loads easily, and is good for the vet and farrier. He’s happy in the stall or living out and gets along well with others in turnout. Odin is healthy and sound with massive sturdy feet and no vices. He is a big guy, and still green, so will require a rider capable enough to continue his training. For the right partner he has loads of potential to excel in a number of directions.
