Tony is a super responsive and well trained gelding! He’s been everywhere and done anything. Tony was trained as a cowhorse, and can stop! He works cows great. He has never had an off day for us and has no maintenance.
He has done:
-drill team
-team sorting
-showmanship
-working pairs
-ranch classes
-in hand obstacle relay
-ridden in parades
-packed a flag
-trail ridden
-dragged stuff
-been roped off of
-crosses water
-neck reins perfectly
-pushed cows and worked buffalo
and been shown in WWSH shows, OHSET, and 4-H. He and my brother won the showmanship buckle twice in 4-H. He’s qualified for OHSET state in multiple events and qualified for ranch state in 4-H. My brother and I won working pairs this year in OHSET with him.
Anyone can get on him! We’ve had people who have never ridden before go trail ride and he is a rockstar. He’ll go plod along a trail or show in a pleasure class. He has a soft little trot and collects beautifully. He’ll also extend the trot and cover some ground on the trails! He’s very soft and has a great handle on him. Sidepass, forehand turn, etc.
His only vice is he kicks in the trailer, and that is easily managed by kicking hobbles when hauling. Truly can’t say enough good things about this horse!
Only for sale because my brother is no longer doing OHSET and doesn’t need a horse anymore. A great home is a must!
