Sedona is a beautiful mare. She has had a wonderful start and has so much potential ! She is a just under 15.2 :) Sedona has been handled her entire life . We purchased Sedona when she was turning 3 years old. Prior to us owning her , she was handled and worked with. She had been trailered to different farms and had positive experiences. We continued strengthening her foundation. She has been handled daily . A trainer in Aiken backed her and rode her in a round pen when she was 4 years old . We had her knees and front legs x - rayed before she went to the trainer . We wanted to make sure her joints were closed . She only was with that trainer for two weeks and did well with being backed. I worked with Sedona lunging and long lining her . She stands quiet while grooming and tacking her up. She understands voice commands while lunging . She stands quietly at the mounting block . I have gotten on her bareback as well as saddled . We have walked around the ring quietly . She has walked over tarps , trotting poles quietly . Sedona has been with a wonderful trainer in Ridgeville since July (2024) Sedona is moving and carrying herself beautifully ! She’s transitions are balanced and smooth ! Sedona stands quietly to be tacked, groomed and or the Ferrier . Sedona is barefoot . Sedona is doing well with a rider while being lunged . We are taking our time with her training . She is ready for someone to continue her training and take her to the next level . Someone with training experience or a trainer would be the best for her . Sedona has so much potential she could be ridden in different disciplines. She has wonderful bloodlines . Hez Plum Poison or ‘Poison’ was the 2010 All American Quarter Horse Congress Lunge Line Champion and the 2014 High Point Junior Western Pleasure horse of the year. In between, Poison won dozens of futurity and Circuit championships. Sedona has beautiful confirmation and coloring . She has been tack up both English and western saddles. We love her very much . I just don’t have enough time to continue her training consistently. She will stay with our trainer . Please contact us if you are interested in this special mare. Thank you
