Checkulater is the kind of horse that steals everyone's hearts. He's a hugger, just so you are warned! This is an incredibly kind and sweet gelding; he LOVES people, has a very soft eye and wants to be involved in all the barn activities. He is a push ride, and would be very AA or junior friendly to develop. JJ, as he is lovingly called, took to jumping like a fish to water and has great form and an even better brain between fences, but would honestly do well in any discipline. He's great off property and does all the other *civilian horse* things like a pro and can be handled by everyone! My teen and AA students rode him with ease with less than 10 rides post track, and he's gotten even better since.
Has three very correct and smooth gaits.
JJ's ideal person loves him like their large house pet, wants all his baby pictures (which I have!), and wants to go show but also hack and trail ride through the countryside occasionally. He's a great loose rein hacker!
He also ideally would love a home up north as he's struggles with the heat and allergies in the past. But has been doing well up to this point with supplements and allergy medication. He also does best in turnout whenever possible, because he is a mild cribber while stalled but not while outside.
