Dale is a Clydesdale/Thoroughbred cross foaled June 2nd, 2022. His sire, Cedarlane Bert, is a tall, leggy, modern Clyde standing over 18 hands, and his dam, Trini Dubai, stands at 16.2 and was a successful racehorse, earning over 200k in her time on the track. Dale currently stands at 16.1 but string tests to a touch over 17 hands- so he’ll be plenty tall enough for most people without being overwhelmingly huge. He is athletic enough for any discipline and has nicely balanced gaits, and he has solid bone without being too heavy. Dale is a sweet, sensitive boy who is never mean but can be reactive, so he requires a patient, experienced handler and a slow introduction to new things. He tries hard and learns well! He just doesn’t have the unflappable temperament that many people prefer in draft crosses, but he has the athleticism to thrive as a sport horse with his own person- or he could be an excellent resale investment for a trainer willing to put the time into him! Dale has not yet had any formal training beyond routine handling and care. He has grown up living outside but is also good about coming into a stall when necessary. He gets along well with other geldings; we have not turned him out with mares.
