Speckled Hen Jenni is a registered appendix with the European Brabant Registry of America. Born 3/16/21 out of a Morgan x Percheron mare, by an American Brabant stud. Jenni is likely to mature over 16 hands, has a lot of bone, and solid bare hooves. PSSM 1 and 5 panel negative, microchipped, up to date on vaccines and recent dental. She rides both English and Western and has 45 days of professional under saddle training and good hours on trails, paying attention to quality miles rather than quantity of miles. Jenni drives single or in a pair, and has experience doing some easy farm chores. She has worked over obstacles, real bridges, ditches, water, logs, etc. Having been raised on the road, she has been gently exposed to a variety of challenges and situations that put her ahead of many horses her age. She loads and travels very well and adapts easily to new situations. Jenni has traveled to and successfully participated in small shows and public events, most recently as part of a beginner driving clinic. Jenni is at ease with most dogs, cattle, and other livestock. She bathes, cross ties, clips, stands well for trims and vet, respects electric fence. Her curiosity can get the best of her when she can reach items with her mouth. She is happiest in a small herd with access to forage, and has been on a forage based diet her whole life. Jenni is a sweet, calm, curious and in your pocket mare who's age is often mistaken for acting older than she really is. This elegant 3/4 draft is an easy going mare who enjoys her humans and our adventures together. She shows a lot of promise to be a great "at home" horse for amateurs. If you give her a break for a couple weeks it takes little effort to get her back to where you ended last. Where could she go from here? Low level dressage (English or Western) or combined driving, hunter paces, hilltopping, trails and more trails, pleasure driving, help a neighbor gather loose cattle, take her to the beach, try some liberty work, buy a fancy carriage and do weddings, enlist her help doing farm chores, use her as a surrogate mare or breed your dream draft cross. She is likely a late bloomer and could fill out a lot into her 7th year. The sky is the limit with a good draft cross. Jenni will be residing near Saratoga Lake, NY during October, please make an appointment to see her there before we start heading south for the winter. There is a covered arena and many local vets for PPE. A personable draft cross mare with a great mind, unique upbringing and solid foundation ready to go in many directions, $25k to the right home.
