Firecracker Ms Frost, nicknamed “Scout”, is a gorgeous brown Appendix AQHA 7-year-old mare, who is about 15.1, with outstanding conformation, movement, speed and athleticism. She was foaled on a South Dakota ranch and after weaning, was one of several exceptional foals who sold and were hauled down to central Oregon. Her bloodlines, top and bottom, were selected to create highly athletic and fast horses who could excel in barrel racing, roping, hunter-jumper and other equine sports. Her first buyer in Bend, Oregon, found that between being a father and working full time, he didn't have any time to spend with the young mare, so sadly she spent the next couple of years mostly standing around in a box stall with a run. Scout's current owner finally was able to talk the man into selling her the mare and she was able to bring her home and start handling and working with her. She had a hair analysis done on Scout by DePaolo Equine Concepts and has been on DePaolo's supplements plus having monthly chiropractic sessions since her purchase, which greatly helped her overcome some problems. She has had lots of ground training and was well-started under saddle, however she is extremely reactive and sensitive and has bucked off a professional trainer as well as her owner. Therefore, she is being sold as a broodmare and not as a riding horse since she can't be guaranteed sound nor reliable. Scout's owner had really hoped she would end up as her forever barrel horse, but after working with the lovely mare for a couple of years, she realized it just wasn't meant to be.
