If you need a horse that will stand at the mounting block for 3 -5 mins while you mount Trotter is not for you. If you do not have a very short skirted western saddle with gaited horse/ semi -quarter horse bars and do not want to buy one Trotter is not for you. Trotter occassionally acts cold backed (crow hops and balks) and grabs his butt (scoots forward without warning). Bought this horse off a video "family friendly anyone can ride". Well 95% of the time - yes - but the other 5% is pretty unsettling. Like many handsome men Trotter's first impression is great as he is very well put together with a nice fox trot and ranch walk plus will stand tied for hours.
