“JJ” is a purebred 3 year old Appoolosa gelding. This guy will be your next heart horse. He has been started this summer with a trainer and does his walk, trot, canter. He has been trained on leg cues, opening and closing gates, trail riding, walks through water, and so soft in the mouth. He has space respect. If you are leading him and stop, he will stop at the same time. You can move JJ any direction you want without touching him. He has been trained through natural horsemanship. JJ will lift his feet for you no problem and is good for the farrier. There is nothing aggressive in this boy. He has never offered a buck or a kick. He knows how to do lateral flexactions, side passes, and move off the shoulder and hindquarters. JJ has never been injured. He is very sound and can go any direction you want.
Since JJ is so young he needs more refinement to make him seasoned. He has an amazing will to please and will give you big hugs. He is just so kind.
JJ is also a leader on the trail. It’s his preference but he follows just fine. He is very brave, can care less about cars, motorcycles, quads, big noisy things, tarps, and ditches. He jumps over logs with no hesitation on the trails. He is very good at arena trail courses. This horse has not spooked an inch. When he comes across something new, he’ll just check it out. No sideways jumping or any dangerous spooking behavior. Once he finds it’s okay, he’ll just move on.
The only reason I’m selling him is life circumstances. He is up to date on all aspects of his care. He will need a float come June. JJ is everything anyone could want.
I am sad to see him go and a good home is a must as this horse is one of a kind. References from vets and friends would be top priority for selling him. Any background of experience with horses is also recommended.
