We have an 8 yo grade gelding Slick, who is looking for a career change. He is FAST been hauled all over for high school and NPRA’s as a bull doggin horse. He is great to be around he is calm standing at the gate, but just gets too anxious getting backed into the box. In addition to that our son is off to college. I think this guy could lay dowm some good times with just some patterning. No maintenance needed though we do like to keep him on a supplement to prevent ulcers. Slick is very forward moving with energy for days and does not require daily riding, with that said because he is so quick, agile and forward moving I would not recommend as a beginner horse.
