Presenting Captain, a Shire/TB cross gelding (eligible for AWB registry) who is well started and could go any direction. He has been ponied and ridden all around the roads and fields of Amish country and is very at home outside the ring, but also has been in professional dressage training for 4 months. He has been to one dressage show, and won both of his classes, also receiving the high score award for all classes for the day: *Update* Captain has also proven himself to be a solid trail horse, and attended his first foxhunt recently in second field and was a perfect gentleman. Lightly started over jumps and is smooth and safe. Although Captain has no buck/rear/bolt and is safe, he would do best with a confident rider that prefers a forward thinking horse. He has the intelligence to balance himself well outside the ring, but in the ring still needs a rider with feel who will help him, otherwise will run around on the forehand (he’s been ridden by multiple experienced adults in my lesson program). He is schooling 2nd level dressage and shows great potential to move up the levels with the right rider. He’s a really fun horse I wish I could keep in my program longer, but owner sadly needs him sold before winter. https://youtu.be/97w7UaF2zik?si=OU3Z1wiNNcTmHOEE
