Freckles is a sweetheart of a mare. She is 13 years old and stands at 14.1. She is a stought and strong mare being ridden by a 6'2", 250 lbs man with no problems. She has just enough mare attitude to be fun for a confident rider. But never dangerous or problematic. She wants to be told what to do but likes a gentle hand. Would not recommend for a beginner, but a confident rider with some experience can ride her without any problems. She has accepted everything we have thrown at her without much reaction.
Freckles would make a great 4H/ WAHSET/ OHSET horse. She is talented in the ranch riding ring and definitely would enjoy gaming. However. She will not be bringing home the 1D saddle any day soon. I believe she would do great in drill, parades, and rodeo court. She has a really nicecforward moving trot and a great lope that covers ground without her needing to be in a dead run. She is a little rusty as she is just recovering from weaning a baby. She does understand riding one handed. But currently requires a lot of leg to maintain good control.
Her only vices are pinned ears at pinching and she wants to scratch on you with her head when you take of the bridle. Stands tied with no problems. Stands at the arena without any problems. Currently barefoot and no maintenance. No grain. 3 flakes a day keeps this girl nice and plump.
