Having to make tough decisions due to rising bills and work schedule. I'd prefer him go to a lease situation but with the right situation I may be open to selling. He's been restarted and is great under saddle on and off farm. Not spooky at much but he is still green. He requires shoes if going on rocky surfaces but otherwise is sound barefoot. Comet is my love and it really hurts to have to decide to find him a new situation as he really helped bring back my child obsession with horses again. His gaits are full of impulsion and he'd make a great dressage prospect but due to past track injuries 2 vets have agreed he is limited to hack work. Maybe a 3rd opinion from another vet and injections may change that but I have xrays of his front right injury to share as that's the most significant and his back left has a suspensory injury to it. He's been to shows in hand, trail rides with or without another horse, side passes, can be turned out with mares/geldings (little less herd bound when it's just geldings as mares in heat seem to stir him up a bit, prefers 24/7 turnout, requires hay and good feed to keep weight. Has been treated for ulcers, regular red light and magnawave treatments, teeth need to be done yearly which He's good and up to date on shots as well as coggins and deworming. I can provide all his gear and blankets if he goes out for lease but again strict contracts for both options will be required. He is NOT being offered as a resale project and that contract will be notarized. If person cannot keep him he's to return to me and I'll just have to figure something out.... he's been sitting in the field for the past 4 months but besides lacking some muscle he could be ridden tomorrow and be the same as he was in June. He's a very very special guy who deserves more than sitting around. If you're seriously interested please contact me. Lease options include on farm lease $250 a month however many rides the leaser would like, off farm lease can be a care lease option or split costs. Sale option. No payment plans. He'd be listed at $4,500 as he has been restarted and I've done a lot with him. Could do a lease to own to ensure he works out but again absolutely NOT being offered as a resale project. He is only going to someone looking for a long term horse. Not for a beginner and will require references be provided. I WILL NOT TALK TO MINORS
