Flo is part of the UConn horse sale closing Nov 12th. For more information on the bidding process/registration, and for more pictures visit s.uconn.edu/virtual-sale. UC Flor de Mayo "Flo" is a 2018, 15hh Morgan mare by UC Doc Sanchez (UC Doc Daniel x UC Tee Time) and out of Friend Charity Rose (LWM Mannie B x TSL Steel Magnolias). Friend Charity Rose has produced several foals that have become great driving, hunter, and dressage horses with success in the IHSA and IDA show programs. She is known for her sweet and quiet demeanor, which has been passed down to many of her offspring. Her sire, UC Doc Sanchez, is known for his animated gaits, forward-thinking demeanor, and impressive show record, competing and placing consistently in classic pleasure classes across New England. Flo truly is a versatile horse. She has three solid, comfortable gaits under saddle. She has been started over fences and is willing and able to jump a consistent 2 ft course with room to grow. This past year, she was introduced to the lesson program and quickly became a favorite of the dressage and hunt seat teams. Flo loves to go on trail rides and takes all obstacles, including water, bravely. She ties, bathes, and stands for the vet and farrier. Her friendly demeanor and go with the “flo” attitude lends her to be a fun lower-level dressage, 4H, or hunter/jumper with an amateur or advanced young rider.
