Oaks is super sweet, rather frisky, and let's you do anything with her.
Though registered as sorrel, she has a fairly well-defined dorsal stripe that survived her foal shed (which is why we color-tested her), and she carries 2 copies of nd1. This means that although not a true dun, she may ways sport a dorsal stripe. Oaks also has a lot of nice chrome and is sure to get you noticed when you're working with her.
Oaks carries just over 20% Freckles Playboy blood - something that is getting harder to find these days. You will also find Jaz Poco Goldun Blue, Little Steel Dust, Playgun and Miss Silver Pistol on her papers.
This girl is bred to be tough, confident, trainable and smart as a whip.
Oaks' 2023 full sister is owned by a farrier, and former Fleetwood Farms intern who calls the filly her "heart horse". That filly is always a favourite at any barn she spends time at, and Oaks will be the same.
