Chico has been a joy to have on my small horse farm. I bought him for my daughter to ride and she loved him, but she has grown up a little bit and fallen in love with another mare that is her number one now. He responds to plow and neck rein commands, but better with a plow rein. He's a horse than anyone can get on and enjoy. Not fancy broke. Smooth, easy flat foot walk. smooth fast foxtrot. easy rocking canter. Equal parts whoa/go... walks happily with quarter horses, but when he steps up prefers his foxtrot gait to a hard trot and it's a faster foxtrot than my others, settles right back down into a walk after stepping out when asked. Crosses water. loads into trailer like a dream. stands for farrier. Easy keeper, I kept him on grain and hay all spring, then summer pretty much on turnout grass. His weight doesn't fluctuate. Very patient, extremely gentle. Great all arounder for a trail buddy that learns quick and has absolutely zero buck, bite or spook. One of the calmest animals I've ever been around.
