Gretchen is confirmed in foal to Njord Halsnaes, our European imported and evaluated red dun stallion. Photos of him in the album and more on his personal page. Njord stands 14.3. Due date 04/07/2025.
Gretchen is trained to ride and drive in her prior home but would likely need a refresher.
She has had foals in the past, this was her first breeding season with us and she took on the first cycle. Easy to breed (we hand breed).
Gretchen loves people but she is a dominant alpha mare that would likely do best in a home where she can be the only horse or just with one buddy and get more personal time with humans. Our horses mostly live together in a big herd and as such her management needs unfortunately don’t work with our system.
She is up to date on farrier and deworming. Recent dental spring 2024.
